The International Academy of Advanced Conducting after Ilia Musin, West Virginia State University (Institute, WV) announce a unique opportunity for conductors of all professional levels and any age to experience intensive study of advanced orchestral conducting styles with an internationally recognized faculty. Participants will have ample daily podium time with string ensemble, Symphonic Band, and workshop Orchestra.
Internationally recognized faculty include: Dr. Leonid Korchmar (professor St. Petersburg Conservatory of music, conductor of Mariinski Theatre, RF), Dr. Oleg Proskurnya (director of IAAC) and Dr. Scott Woodard (WVSU).
All podium sessions will be videotaped, and all participants will receive individual coaching on the works they will conduct. Public performances will be held at the end of workshop. Interested individuals should send a completed application, $75 (nonrefundable) application fee, short resume (or bio) and videotape, if available.

Tuition - $ 950 Applications dead-line is May 15th. Upon notification of acceptance, a $350 deposit must be submitted with the balance due by May 19, 2017. No refunds will be made after May 23, 2017. Housing and meals are included for May 30 - June 4 only (meals will begin with diner on May 30 and conclude with breakfast on June 4). There will be an additional charge for early arrivals and late departures. The limited numbers of partial and full scholarships are available for participants on first-come-first-serve basis.
Russia, St. Petersburg
Tuition - $1,295 for participants, $800 for auditors - will participate in all aspects of the program and receive daily podium (ensemble only). Applications dead-line is July 12. Assistance with affordable accommodation is provided. Upon notification of acceptance, a $400 deposit must be submitted with the balance due by July 14. No refunds will be made after July 18, 2017. Faculty include: Dr. Leonid Korchmar, Dr. Oleg Proskurnya and Dr.Scott Woodard.
The goal of the International Academy of Advanced Conducting is to promote and expand the legacy and methodology of Professor Ilia Musin. A discounted copy of Musin's " The Technique of Orchestral Conducting" will be available for participants.
